Jess is a passionate foodie and dietitian whose aim is to help educate and empower individuals to take control of their own health through positive diet and lifestyle changes. She understands that “one size does not fit all” and appreciates the importance of working collaboratively with her clients to make realistic and sustainable changes to their diet and lifestyle through practical and individualised recommendations. She also has a focus of ensuring her clients build and maintain a positive relationship with food and gain enjoyment from cooking and eating.
 
With personal experience managing her own gut health conditions, Jess has a special interest in gastrointestinal and digestive health conditions including coeliac disease, food intolerances and allergies, IBS, and diverticular disease. Jess also has experience in a wide range of other areas such as weight management, PCOS, chronic disease management including diabetes and cardiovascular issues, as well as life stage nutrition. Jess is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition) and a subsequent Masters of Dietetic Studies from the University of Queensland.

Melanie Walters

Melanie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian who is passionate about food and cooking. She became a dietitian to combine her love of food and her desire to help others. She has a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University as well as Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Food and Nutrition from Charles Sturt University. She has previously worked in private practice in the Ipswich and Western Suburbs areas, looking after a diverse range of patients, including a number of DVA and NDIS patients.

Melanie enjoys helping people optimise their health and wellbeing through improving their lifestyle. She provides patients with evidence-based nutrition strategies to help them meet their goals through practical dietary recommendations and sustainable health and lifestyle changes. Melanie visits Banyo Clinic every week.

Her interest and experience covers a broad range of conditions including; weight management, diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance and metabolic syndrome, PCOS, cancer, gastro-intestinal conditions, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular issues. She loves working with people across the lifespan from children to the elderly. When she is not at work, she is busy looking after her two young daughters, collecting recipes books and trying new restaurants.
