Our team of highly trained doctors, nurses and support staff provide a wide range of services, from treating acute illness to preventative health and well being services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, pregnancy and pediatric care, work related injuries/ assessments and travel health. We cater for newborn babies all the way through to great great grandparents.
We have an ongoing commitment to quality improvement and training, providing training opportunities to medical students, GP registrars as well as nurses, as well as partake in regular quality improvement activities. Banyo Clinic is a GPA accredited clinic, meeting the high standards set by RACGP, dedicated to providing safe and quality health care.
Practice background
Banyo Clinic was opened in 1955 by Dr Keith John Pearson. He operated the practice out of his home at 183 Tufnell Rd Banyo. He opened at Northgate in 1958 and then formed a partnership with Dr Dennis Sheehan. The partnership dissolved in the early sixties and the services were separate until 1991 when they again came under common ownership. An extension was built in the 1970’s to service the increasing number of patients attending the practice. The Northgate Clinic moved to the Banyo Clinic in 1997. A further extension was undertaken in 2004 to provide a larger more modern reception area and additional consulting rooms. In 2013 a new upstairs areas was built providing several rooms for the use of allied health professional and an area to undertake meeting and educational activities. The pharmacy was also extended and there is a coffee shop for easy patient and carer access.
