Telehealth during COVID-19 outbreaks

Home » Telehealth during COVID-19 outbreaks

In order to keep our patients, staff and doctors as safe as possible, Banyo Clinic is switching to phone and video appointments.

The doctor will advise if you need to present to the clinic.

Sunday and Public Holidays will be exclusively telehealth appointments until further notice.

If attendance at the clinic is necessary, this can still be arranged by speaking with one of our receptionists.

Medicare rebates for phone and video appointments are only available for patients who have had a face-to-face appointment at Banyo Clinic in the last year.

For all other patients, there will be an out-of-pocket fee of $65 – less for concession card holders or more for longer appointments.

If attending the clinic, please wear a mask and do not bring unessential guests – one carer or guardian is okay.

You will be asked to remain outside if you:

  • Are feeling unwell
  • have had COVID-19 or been a close contact for 14 days
  • have any COVID-19 symptoms for any reason:
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Shortness of breath
    • Loss of taste or smell
    • Fevers
    • Fatigue
    • Diarrhoea
    • Vomiting
    • Aches including headache or ear ache

We are experiencing more phone traffic than usual, please be kind to our staff. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
You can send a request to our temporary email inbox@banyoclinic.com.au for non-urgent enquiries.
